Susie worked as a police officer full and part-time from 2003 to 2014. Susie became a certified DARE Officer in 2005 and taught through 2013.

Susie is currently the Bureau Chief of the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Office of Drug Control Policy and has represented the ODCP on the DARE Iowa Board since 2012.
